End-User License Agreement & Privacy Policy

This document describes the End-User License Agreement (EULA) and Privacy Policy for the Birthday Reminder mobile application ("Application"), developed and published by Buddha Technologies ("Developer", "we", "us").
By downloading, installing, or using the Application, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Application.
1. License Grant
- We grant you a non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable, limited license to install and use the Application solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes on a device you own or control.
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or reverse-engineer the Application or any part of it.
2. Ownership
- The Application and all related intellectual property rights remain the property of Buddha Technologies.
- This Agreement does not transfer ownership of the Application to you.
3. Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Use the Application for any unlawful or harmful purpose.
- Attempt to bypass or disable security features.
- Use the Application in a way that violates applicable laws or third-party rights.
4. Updates
- We may provide updates, bug fixes, or new features from time to time.
- Updates may be installed automatically, and continued use of the Application indicates acceptance of these updates.
5. Privacy Policy
5.1 Information We Collect
- Personal Data: The Application may collect basic personal information you provide (such as name, email address) if required for functionality.
- Non-Personal Data: We may collect anonymous usage statistics (such as device type, operating system, and crash reports).
5.2 How We Use Information
- To operate and improve the Application.
- To provide customer support.
- To comply with legal obligations.
5.3 Data Sharing
- We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
- Data may be shared with trusted service providers strictly for operating the Application (e.g., analytics or crash reporting).
5.4 Data Security
- We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information.
- However, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.
5.5 Your Choices
- You may uninstall the Application at any time to stop data collection.
- If applicable, you may request deletion of your data by contacting us (see Contact section below).
6. Google Drive Backup (Optional Feature)
Birthday Reminder offers an optional Google Drive backup feature that allows you to:
- Back up your birthday reminders to your personal Google Drive
- Sync your data across devices
- Restore your data if you reinstall the app
6.1 What Data is Backed Up
- Names and dates of birthday reminders you create
- This data is stored as a CSV file in your personal Google Drive
6.2 How It Works
- You must explicitly enable this feature and sign in with your Google account
- The app uses Google Sign-In to authenticate you
- Birthday data is stored in your personal Google Drive (not on our servers)
- Only you have access to this data through your Google account
- You can disable backup at any time from the app settings
- You can delete the backup file from your Google Drive at any time
6.3 Third-Party Services
When you enable backup, we use:
- Google Sign-In for authentication
- Google Drive API to store your birthday data in your personal Drive
We do not have access to your Google Drive. All data remains in your control.
7. Termination
- This Agreement remains in effect until terminated.
- We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms.
- Upon termination, you must uninstall and stop using the Application.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
- The Application is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Buddha Technologies is not liable for damages of any kind arising from your use of or inability to use the Application.
10. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.
